Nespresso Gourmet Weeks have swept Alma with the best coffee in town

In its third edition, Nespresso Gourmet Weeks challenged eight Michelin Star Chefs to create exclusive menus in which coffee was the star. Our chef was amongst the chosen ones and shared Alma's kitchen with Graham Hornigold, the guest chef, who currently works for the Hakkasan Group, on a night of unforgettable… taste!

The menu created by the two chefs included appetizers, entrée, two main courses (meat and fish) and a dessert, where coffee was always present. The challenge proposed by Nespresso excited the audience who came to try Henrique Sá Pessoa’s cooking on a different level, and the chef himself who resorted to a lot of creativity, different techniques and new flavours so that everything arrived at the table with maximum quality.

This was an open initiative to the public, and this year it was strongly inspired by the “Nespresso Exclusive Selection” range, consisting of two coffees created for haute cuisine restaurants. This range, 'Exclusive Selection Nepal Lamjung' and 'Exclusive Selection Kilimanjaro Peaberry' , whose origin can be traced to unexplored regions in Nepal and Tanzania, was developed for an unforgettable gastronomic experience in Fine Dining restaurants, as was the case on May 14th, at Alma, with a dinner able to arouse the appetite of even more resistant souls.
