Chef organised tastings of creations from several restaurants at Peixe em Lisboa

This year, the culinary festival that has brought freshness and plenty of flavours to the city featured the participation of chef Henrique Sá Pessoa, among many other cooks whose work was put to the test.

Following the success of the chef’s presentation last year, which was much more than a show cooking event and directly contributed to the Coast to Coast menu (a feature of Alma since then), this year Henrique Sá Pessoa had a stand at the festival in his own right, where he presented some of his most recent creations. Some of the dishes on offer, such as “Alhinho” style Coastal Shrimp and “Sea and Citrines”, the dessert by Alma’s pastry chef Telmo Moutinho, are already well known and are among the favourites of diners at our Chiado restaurant.

Furthermore: Cuttlefish in bolo do caco bread took inspiration from one of the snacks at his new Tapisco, and Cod, chickpea purée, chickpea dressing and anchovies is one of the most popular dishes served up in the chef space of Ribeira Market. All other dishes were creations for Peixe in Lisbon, inspired by the sea.

Below can be seen the chef’s menu for the 10th edition of Peixe em Lisboa.

Marinated Scallops, avocado, quinoa and coriander

 Roast octopus, romesco and capers

The initiative, overseen by the Lisbon Municipal Government and the Lisbon Chamber of Tourism, is committed to the promotion of Portuguese fish and shellfish culinary traditions’ and offers the public the possibility to get a closer look at the work of our cookery professionals. This event featured some of the region’s best restaurants, including Alma, giving us an unique opportunity to showcase our work to an even larger audience.
